These lively learners are full of questions. These children begin the One Story Ministry Bible Study Curriculum that they will follow through to 5th grade. These lessons and learning activities help the children grow in their knowledge and love for Christ and the Word. The large group assembly time begins with singing and lesson introduction. The children then go to their small group classes for Bible study, a teacher-lead discussion, and follow up questions. There is scripture memory work program of Psalms 23 and the Ten Commandments that the children learn during the first year. The second year they memorize the ABC Verses. Children then attend the first part of the 10:55AM worship service and are dismissed to Children’s Church during the greeting time before the sermon.

The 4th and 5th grade continue the One Story Ministry Bible Study. Older children are realizing that they need guidance in many areas of living. They want to know how to honor the Lord in their relationships. They want to read the Bible on their own and have a more developed prayer life. These children begin their morning together with a time of singing and praying. The lesson is introduced and then they go to either boys’ or girls’ classes with their grade level. Bible lessons include teacher-led instruction in how to study a passage and find answers. These small group times help the children develop relationships with peers and with teachers. An atmosphere of trust gives these children opportunities to ask questions about how to live out the Christian life.
