There is a formal process through which our congregation welcomes new members. This consists of a class on our basic beliefs and formal acceptance by the congregation. The more important requirement for membership is for one to become a Christian – a belief in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please contact one of our Pastors to discuss this most important decision. We urgently request you allow us to discuss your faith with us.
Faithful Stewards of Our Resources
Our Financial Office ensures the faithful accounting and stewardship of our resources. Our church is supported by the donations of the faith family, who are following the biblical model for stewardship.
You can choose to give to the church online from your checking/savings account. We do not accept credit cards and do not encourage credit purchases or debt as a lifestyle. You will need to register and create a login account with the FPC Community ACS system if you have not already. You will also need your Bank account number and routing number to complete the setup.
Once logged into the FPC Community ACS system you can choose to give through Automatic Bank Draft for Deacons’ Budget or World Missions.
You may also send a check in support of the Deacon’s Budget or World Missions to the following address. Please make your check payable to First Presbyterian Church and be sure to write World Missions or Deacon’s Budget in the memo line. Checks may be mailed to:
First Presbyterian Church
Attn: Accounting Dept.
554 McCallie Avenue
Chattanooga, TN 37402
You may also bring your check to the church office during regular business hours.
Yearly Contribution Statement
The church mails one annual contribution statement to contributors following the end of the calendar year in which your donation(s) was given. Questions about your contribution statement can be directed to the Financial Office at 423.648.7905 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tithes and offerings given to the church are administered based on our annual budget. Copies of the budget are available at the church. Any adjustments to budget amounts are made with the approval of our Stewardship Ministry Team.
