Financial education ministry for low-income in our community
“Faith & Finances” is an outreach class designed to foster relationships between members of First Presbyterian Church and the financially challenged workers. The class is a dynamic blend of gospel conversation and life coaching (with continental breakfast) sponsored by theMercy Ministry. We invite any community members that might benefit from a new Christian relationship.
FPC Member Women: many single mothers or widows in our community desire Christian friendships and counseling
FPC Elders: many attendees would benefit from discussion regarding spiritual issues or painful life choices with which they are struggling
FPC Members: those who love to share the gospel (there is no shortage of unbelievers coming each week for assistance)
FPC Members: Budget Counselors – no financial training required (we’ll provide all training needed – see The Chalmers Center)
FPC Members: Helpers – retirees or anyone with administrative skills (processing aid, ordering supplies, copying lessons, etc. – about 2 hours/week)
what room is it in?
How you can become involved?
Start by observing a class on Sunday morning from 9:00am -10:45 a.m. How many poor and needy families would feel “safe” calling FPC their church home? This opportunity to serve is open to all members of First Presbyterian Church.
